Hello, I’m Yuko Tsuchida, the founder of Hito, LLC, and a proud single mother to my son, Kazuki. My journey spans continents, industries, and life stages, reflecting a life dedicated to resilience, love, and the power of reinvention.
From my beginnings in Japan to my decision to call the United States home, I’ve embraced life’s challenges and triumphs with courage and authenticity. This page shares my story—a testament to how bold decisions and a clear sense of purpose can lead to extraordinary fulfillment.
Over two decades ago, I left Japan to pursue higher education in the United States, enrolling at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. My initial goal was academic success, but my time here became the foundation of a thriving career.
After earning my degree, I joined KPMG, one of the Big Four accounting firms, where I gained invaluable experience in corporate accounting. Yet, my entrepreneurial spirit called me to something greater—co-founding Think, LLP, a boutique tax consulting firm. For over a decade, I thrived professionally, but deep down, I yearned for a more personal and impactful purpose.
Driven by the desire to give back, I pursued an MBA at IE Business School in Spain, which opened doors to work in Africa. There, I collaborated with a nonprofit organization to develop long-term financial sustainability strategies. This life-changing experience reshaped my worldview and strengthened my commitment to creating meaningful change.
Upon returning to the U.S., I launched Hito, LLC—a name inspired by the Japanese word for “people.” At Hito, my mission was clear: to help businesses navigate complex tax systems while always putting people first. Through this venture, I’ve empowered my clients to unlock opportunities, saving them millions in the process.
At 36, I made the life-altering decision to pursue single motherhood through a sperm donor, embracing the role of mother with open arms.
My son, Kazuki, has brought profound joy and purpose into my life, shifting how I approach both my personal and professional worlds.
Motherhood taught me to see the world through fresh eyes, inspiring me to travel, explore, and cherish life’s everyday moments. It also encouraged me to empower my team at Hito, allowing them to take on leadership roles and thrive in new ways.
Choosing motherhood on my terms has been the most courageous decision of my life, and it’s one I treasure every day.
